In our ongoing mission to enhance the health and sanitation facilities in schools, we are delighted to announce the completion of a 5-stance VIP latrine for girls at Busoga Moslem Primary School. This significant infrastructure development also includes a dedicated hand wash stand, ensuring a holistic approach to improving hygiene and sanitation for the students.
The construction of the VIP latrine involved several key stages. The superstructure was meticulously built, roofed, and its doors were securely fixed, providing a safe and private environment for the girls. The walls were plastered to ensure durability and ease of maintenance. Additionally, comprehensive plumbing work has been completed, facilitating proper waste management and water usage.
This new facility is a critical addition to the school, addressing the pressing need for improved sanitation. The availability of a clean and private latrine is expected to significantly enhance the health and well-being of the students, particularly the girls, who often face challenges related to hygiene management. By providing a dedicated and hygienic space, we aim to reduce absenteeism among female students, enabling them to attend classes more regularly and comfortably.
The construction of the VIP latrine and hand wash stand is a collaborative effort, reflecting the commitment of the Rotary Club of Ntinda, the school administration, and the local community to improve educational environments. This project not only promotes better health and hygiene but also instills a sense of dignity and confidence among the students.
